Your first project takes about as long as your footage takes to upload. You give Clik the raw material and some direction, it comes back with a plan, and once you approve it you get drafts to refine.
Upload your footage
From Home, click Upload Content, or drag files straight onto the upload area. Clik skips duplicates automatically, so re-adding a file you already uploaded costs you nothing.
Three ways in:
- Browse from files — from your computer, up to 20 GB per file
- Continue with Google — from Google Drive, up to 2 GB per file
- Upload with Dropbox — from Dropbox, up to 2 GB per file
Uploads run in the background, and the uploads panel shows what's left. You can keep working in another tab while they finish — just don't close the laptop or let it sleep.
Say what you want
This is the part that decides how good the first pass is. You're not filling out a form; you're telling Clik what you're after, the way you'd brief an editor.
Direction can be any of these:
- A brief or scripts — attach a document, or paste your scripts into the chat. Best when you already know the videos you want.
- A few notes — "3 shorts, 45 seconds each, different hooks." Fast, and usually enough.
- A sentence — "a long-form cut plus a few shorts from the best section."
If you give it nothing but footage, Clik will propose concepts on its own, but the results are less predictable. One sentence of intent makes a real difference.
Read the plan before anything gets built
Clik watches your footage, reads any brief you gave it, and comes back with a plan: the videos it can make, each with a title, what it covers, and a rough duration.
Nothing is built yet. Stay here as long as you need — the plan is cheap to change and the build is not. In the chat you can:
- rename a video
- add one, or remove one you don't want
- ask for changes: "make the second hook more direct," "split that into three shorts," "add a highlight cut"
When it looks right, approve it and Clik builds each video.
Refine in the editor
Each finished video opens in the editor, where you can edit by conversation, search your footage, rearrange the timeline, and add captions and text before exporting.
